Guilt-Free Vegan Breadsticks with Sweet N’ Spicy Marinara Dipping Sauce

Servings: Serves 2



1 cup garbanzo bean flour

1 cup gluten free baking mix

1 1/4 cup almond milk, unsweetened

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (you will use 2 in the mix and set the other 2 aside)

1 tbsp raw coconut sugar (or any other preferred sweetener)

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp sea salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp Nutritional Yeast

1 tsp garlic salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. In medium sized mixing bowl, add Garbanzo Bean Flour, Baking Mix, Coconut Sugar, Salt, Paprika, Pepper, Basil, and Oregano and stir lightly
  3. Slowly add Almond milk, stirring rapidly
  4. Once the mixture is smooth and clump free, add apple cider vinegar and 2 tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and mix until smooth
  5. Pour the mixture in loaf pan and bake for approx 20-22 minutes
  6. Carefully turn the loaf pan over a cutting board and gently pat the bottom, loosening the loaf and gently allow it to release.
  7. Let loaf cool for approx 10 minutes, while it cools, preheat oven to broil
  8. Once loaf cools down, cut the loaf in 1 inch slices
  9. Over non-stick baking sheet, use the remainder 2 tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and brush both sides of the breadstick slices with olive oil, then sprinkle Nutritional Yeast and Garlic Salt over both sides (Optional: Vegan Mozzarella)
  10. Place baking sheet in oven, bake for approx 3 minutes on each side (flipping midway, until golden brown)
  11. Remove from tray and garnish with fresh basil, parsley, vegan mozzarella cheese etc.


Marinara Dipping Sauce:


3 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 chopped garlic cloves

1/2 cup water

1 tsp sea salt

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp chili powder

1 tbsp coconut sugar

1 tsp dried basil


  1. In small saucepan on Medium low heat, add olive oil
  2. Once heated add chopped garlic until lightly browned
  3. Add water
  4. slowly stir in tomato paste, breaking it up with a whisk, and mixing it together rapidly
  5. Once combined, add dry seasoning
  6. Let mixture heat for approx 5 minutes, stirring frequently
  7. Take off heat, and serve hot
  8. Garnish with Parsley (optional)
